For many, sponsorships are the primary source of funding and revenue for teams. However, sponsorship is also a very uncertain source of revenue, as it is usually up for review after certain contract periods. Sponsorship can often be withdrawn if there are dramatic problems with the team, and most sponsorship contracts contain numerous clauses.
