League of Legends – Hanwha Life & MAD Lions Making Moves

The #LeagueofLegends team roster for Hanwha Life #Esports for the upcoming season was revealed pretty quickly.

The organization has officially confirmed the acquisitions of jungler Kim #Clid Tae-min and Kim #Life Jeong-min to complete its LCK lineup for 2023, following the recent official statement of two World Champions joining Hanwha Life.

Meanwhile, ahead of the 2023 League of Legends EMEA Championship Winter Split, MAD Lions officially announced Hylissang as their new support. The news of his likely transfer to MAD Lions was first reported by various esports sources earlier this month. It came shortly after Fnatic bid farewell to the player who had been with them since 2018.

Hanwha Life Coming Back To Life

Since he began his competitive career, Clid has alternated between the LCK and the LPL. While playing for JD Gaming in 2017, he established himself in the LPL. Between 2019 and 2021, he played for SK Telecom T1 and Gen.G before returning to FunPlus Phoenix at the start of 2022.

Clid only managed to finish ninth and eighth in the LPL 2022 splits during his time with FPX.

Life and Clid will work together again since they were both in the Gen.G list in 2020 and 2021. Life later joined KT Rolster and finished fifth in the 2022 LCK Summer Playoffs after both were released at the end of the season.

Hanwha Life completely overhauled its lineup and intends to make a major splash in 2023. With these additions, the organization has essentially won the LCK offseason. The super team won’t be in action for a little while yet, despite that.

MAD Lions Getting the Final Piece

Hylissang will join his third squad in his nearly ten years as a League professional after more than four years with Fnatic. Hylissang achieved the pinnacles of competitiveness from Unicorns of Love to Fnatic, including a World Championship final the same year he joined the black-and-orange team.

Javi #Dardo Zafra, the team director for Fnatic, expressed his “great pride” at having Hylissang as a member of the team for such a prolonged period of time and at watching him “develop and establish his legacy” as one of the best supports the area has to offer. “We congratulate him for all his efforts here in the Black and Orange and wish him the best of luck moving forward,” Zafra added.

Some people may find it unusual to see him play in a different shirt because the support has been a constant for Fnatic’s supporters over the years. However, Carzzy, the ADC who will join the support for the MAD Lions’ bot lane in 2023, might be a strong match for Hylissang’s aggressive playstyle. The two allegedly indicated a desire to team up for the 2023 season, giving the already star-studded lineup the explosive firepower of a dynamic combo.

The lineup for the MAD Lions appears to be finished with the confirmation of the new support. Along with Carzzy, Hylissang will play mid laner and jungler, respectively, with Chasy, Elyoya, and Nisqy, two seasoned MAD Lions players.
