One of the most popular ‘cyberpunk’ worlds in ‘anime’ welcomes us. We’re going to tell you when Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 is coming out, as we visit New Vision City thanks to an unexpected collaboration that brings content and mechanics inspired by Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 and its protagonist Motoko Kusanagi to the game.

When is Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 with content from Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 coming out?

The date and time when all the content we are going to describe here will be available will be Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. (Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Ecuador time).

New Vision City

We can visit this new area when playing battle royale mode in Isolated. Near Nuketown we will find a sphere that will transport us to this futuristic setting full of neon lights.

Revive: instead of collecting dog tags to revive our companions, we must retrieve their ghosts.
New enemies: we will find robots and mechanical dogs that will attack all the players they encounter. Defeating them will give us parts that we can exchange for Cyberware upgrades.
Cyberware upgrades: players will be able to install one of four upgrades during a battle royale match:
Cyberbrain Drone: allows you to connect to external terminals to control a drone that scans and hacks targets.
Eye system: Reveals nearby enemies and their characteristics.
Cyberbody limbs: Increases strength and transforms the right arm to perform a special aerial melee attack.
Neural system: improves aiming accuracy.

Major Motoko Kusanagi comes to Call of Duty: Mobile

The franchise’s iconic protagonist is the ultimate reward for players. If we want to get Motoko Kusanagi as an Operator in Call of Duty: Mobile, we have to reach the end of the Season 7: New Vision City paid battle pass.

In the paid battle pass we can also get more Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2050 inspired rewards such as weapon blueprints for Kilo 141, Arctic .50, Shorty, Switchblade X9 and skins for operators Blackjack – Elite, Stryker – Interface and Battery – EVE-III that turn them into characters from the ‘anime’.

Ghost in the Shell event in Call of Duty: Mobile: Togusa’s inspection

Another of GitS’ most recognisable characters needs our help to restore communications, help allies and locate threats.

We will progress through the event by participating in multiplayer matches, battle royale and completing special missions. Completing all of them will allow us to get the ultimate reward.

In addition, on the event screen ‘Togusa’s inspection’ we will find yellow nodes that activate special missions for the Call of Duty Mobile season 7 ‘New Vision City’ battle royale.

Season 7 also brings new Season Missions where we can get new weapon blueprints, Operator skins, 30,000 XP from the Battle Pass and a new attachment for the ASM10.

What’s new in the shop

Finally, the collaboration with Ghost in the Shell in Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 brings new drops such as an epic appearance for Motoko Kusanagi and a blueprint for her custom SMG, pendants, emotes, grenade skins and more.

Later in the season we will also have new skins for operators and the Tachikoma vehicle.

To answer ur question for the last part of the video, personally I don't think codm ever left the gaming platform. I agree codm may not have the popularity from 2019-2020 anymore, but it is still a VERY VERY popular game. If it wasn't why would content creators still make vids for the game and still get hundreds of thousands of views? Tons of people, NOT everyone, but alot would definitely agree that codm is still the top mobile game.
