Rainbow 6 Siege: Huge transfers during the Six Invitational

Team Liquid part ways with AsK

Gabriel #Ask Santos has left #TeamLiquid as a result of the team’s disappointing showing at the #SixInvitational2023.

After the team’s performance at the #SixMexicoMajor semifinals, AsK joined Team Liquid in September 2021. As the team was crowned BR6 2021 winners and advanced to the top six of the #Invitational2022, the Brazilian assisted the blue cavalry in finishing the campaign on the right foot. Eventually, Team Liquid won the #CopaEliteSixStage1 and advanced to the semifinals of the #SixCharlotteMajor to kick off the 2022 season.

Team Liquid made a squad adjustment in order to compete in the Six Berlin Major. Lorenzo #Lagonis Volpi arrived to take over the team’s IGL position, which was AsK’s primary responsibility. AsK was consequently shifted to a more combative posture.

In the Brasileirao 2022 Stage 3, where he ended as the third-best player in the league with a Siege GG rating of 1.20, he put on his finest displays with the blue cavalry. The team would ultimately finish second in the Six Jonkoping Major. Team Liquid would take first place in the BR6 2022 Championship just one week later.

Nevertheless, AsK had trouble at the Six Invitational 2023, despite their outstanding success both domestically and globally. In order to improve the performance of the squad, Team Liquid has now chosen to part ways with him.

Team Liquid signs Volpz to replace AsK

The signing of Gabriel #Volpz Fernandez from w7m esports was revealed by Team Liquid today. Following Gabriel #AsK Santos’ departure, he enters the team.

When Volpz joined the club in March 2022, w7m was where he made his top-flight start. He picked up tier-one fast, earning the highest SiegeGG rating in the BR6 in Stage 1 while playing Buck and Smoke-a 1.22 rating.

His statistics marginally decreased at the Charlotte Major as a result of the bulls competing from Mexico due to visa issues. But when he returned to Brazil, volpz was also in his finest shape, finishing Stage 2 with a SiegeGG Rating of 1.20.

Volpz’s SiegeGG Rating of 1.13 at the Berlin Major was the highest on w7m esports, where the squad advanced to the semifinals. He was ultimately selected as one of the competition’s EVPs.

Finally, the youthful competitor achieved a SiegeGG Rating of 1.14 in Stage 3 of the BR6. He continued it later at the Jönköping Major with a SiegeGG Rating of 1.10.

At the Six Open 2023, his final competition for w7m, Volpz aided his group in making it to the championship round. Comparatively, Liquid struggled in the group stage before losing in the first round of the playoffs.
