Rainbow 6 – G2 Beats w7m To Win The Six Invitational 2023

Four years later, it has occurred once more. World champions title is back into the hands of G2  Esports and Fabian #Fabian Hällsten. Their triumph followed a grand final versus w7m Esports that was outstanding, if not completely one-sided, then at least confident enough to be regarded as dominating.

It was the G2 show, and they won 7-2 on Bank and 7-4 on Kafe before finally receiving a challenge on the final map of Oregon, which they ultimately won 8-6. This came after the 7-5 triumph for w7m on Clubhouse.

Having previously won two world championships, Fabian’s experience winning this Six Invitational as a coach was undoubtedly unique.

G2’s Joker Player

Benjamin #Benjamaster Dereli was G2 Esports’ main performance throughout the competition and concluded with several outstanding individual honors.

He surpassed the mark for the most kills at one Six Invitational halfway through the second map of the grand final, eventually finishing with a total of 323. He finished as the SiegeGG MVP for the competition and was just two kills short from breaking the Six Invitational single-match kill record.

Just 45 days had passed since his first match with G2 before all of this. Benjamaster remembered, “The scrim results from the start was pretty fantastic,” revealing that it was the initial indication that he and G2 may have had a particular connection.

Traditionally, you scrim before joining a team, but I didn’t—they simply signed me.

He was direct and well-deservedly referred to himself as the essential improvement for G2 to win the championship when speaking on stage following his victory. Ben “CTZN” McMillan should not be seen as “the issue,” he had previously sneakily tweeted, but rather as “the answer.”

I was considering two players when it came to [Benjamaster], said Fabian. “The lads chose Benja, and in the end, I really don’t care since they need to pick a player they enjoy playing with,” I said.

“The lads deserve credit for standing up for who they wanted. We ultimately made the right decision, so it’s difficult to claim otherwise today, do you think?

The names Fabian, Benjamaster, and the rest of G2 will go down in Siege esports history, with Julio #JULIO Giacomelli, the leader of the team they just defeated, referring to the former as “the GOAT.”
