HyperX and Team Liquid expand partnership

#HyperX and #TeamLiquid and have officially announced that the existing partnership will be expanded and extended. HyperX remains on board as the official peripheral partner of the multinational #eSportsOrganization.

HyperX has already played a significant role in Team Liquid’s success over the past few years with its sponsorship. The extension of the cooperation was the logical consequence.

Team Liquid co-owner and founder becomes brand ambassador

The value HyperX attaches to the eSports clan Team Liquid is shown by a simple fact. Co-owner and content creator Juan “Hungrybox” DeBeidma has been named HyperX’s global brand ambassador. The peripheral company hopes that this will help it to further expand its own brand awareness and also appeal to an even broader group of customers.

Juan “Hungrybox” DeBeidma has been part of the new ownership structure of Team Liquid since last year. The management team of the eSports clan also includes the following personalities.

  • CS:GO player Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski
  • WNBA star Aerial Powerse
  • Actor Asa Butterfield
  • Poker streamer Alexander “Lex” Veldhuis

DeBeidma earned his reputation particularly in the Nintendo Smash Bros series, where he is considered one of the greatest players of all time.

HyperX with new focus on women’s teams

HyperX’s support for Liquid Group remains classic in the main field, of course. The company will support tournaments, community initiatives and content from the eSports Clan.

Both partners have also announced plans to increase their focus on women in eGaming. Liquid already incorporated a female Valorant team from Brazil into its own structure last year, which will now be provided with special framework conditions by HyperX. The same applies to the newly announced Team Liquid podcast “Table Talks”.

The strategy of HyperX

HyperX is known for its very broad partner structure. The company supports numerous eSports association. However, the cooperation with Team Liquid undoubtedly has a special role. The two partners have been working together for over a decade – a time that is rather unusual in the dynamic eSports world.

HyperX’s statement.

Team Liquid itself only announced the extension of the sponsorship, but did not release a detailed statement. On the part of HyperX, meanwhile, there was a more comprehensive statement.

“HyperX is thrilled to renew our sponsorship with Team Liquid to support their growing eSports organization, and equally excited to welcome Hungrybox to the HyperX family of brand ambassadors.

We recognize Team Liquid’s continued efforts to support the eSports ecosystem of gamers, influencers and fans, as well as inclusivity for all, and align with HyperX’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of gamers and content creators,” said Stephanie Winkler, director of marketing at HyperX.

Incidentally, HyperX was acquired by Hewlett Packard (HP) last year. After all, the technology company made the company purchase cost $425 million.
