Rocket League – Tundra Esports Joining the Big Scene

With the addition of the European team Top Blokes, which includes Andy “Kassio” Landais, David “Rezears” Wünsch, Riccardo “Rizex45” Mazzotta, and coach Sandro “FreaKii” Holzwarth, Tundra Esports has entered the Rocket League scene.

In the esports scene, Tundra Esports, which was founded in 2019, has a rapidly expanding international reputation. The London-based company, which was initially founded with a focus on FIFA, expanded quickly and included partners like TikTok.

Tundra Esports’ Journey So Far

Tundra Esports expanded to Dota 2 in 2021, and since then, the MOBA team has grown well-known, winning a number of titles and participating in the PGL Arlington Major. Additionally, the company has qualified for The International (TI) 2022, one of the biggest and most prestigious esports tournaments.

As a symbol of Tundra’s rising stature in esports, the company recently introduced professional footballer Virgil Van Dijk as a new ambassador and shareholder. The first gaming grime anthem, OUTPLAYED, was developed by Tundra’s first ambassador P Money, a British grime MC, rapper, and songwriter, to commemorate the signing of Virgil Van Dijk. Tundra Esports is projected to win Rocket League as their third esports championship after having teams in Fortnite and Dota 2.

Rizex45, Rezears, and former SMPR Esports player Kassio teamed up to form Top Blokes in September 2022. After five years of professional competition, FreaKii announced his retirement from playing, and the team quickly hired him as coach.

Top Blokes managed to qualify for the RLCS 2022-23 Fall Open despite having a 0-3 record in the Top 16 invitational qualifier by going 3-1 in the more difficult closed qualifier and defeating teams like HEET and Soniqs. In the main match of the Fall Open, they will play G1 in their first match of the year under the Tundra Esports banner.
