League of Legends – FlyQuest Crushes 100Thieves At LCS 2023

The hottest and coldest teams in North America met on the Rift to begin the second round of the 2023 LCS Spring Split. Fly Quest began the second half of the split with a victory over 100 Thieves, who in turn suffered their fifth straight loss. FlyQuest, who won eight of their nine games in the first round robin, did the same in the first round of the split.

Due in large part to 100 Thieves’ aptitude at locating kills and objectives in the middle of games, this particular matchup was unbelievably competitive. Nonetheless, FlyQuest kept expanding their lead in gold, seizing turrets earlier in the competition at a more regular pace.

The Match Recap

FlyQuest’s teamfight-focused composition came online around the 25-minute mark, when, you guessed it, the team won back-to-back teamfights. The gold stayed comparatively close for the remainder of the game. Prince, an AD carry, took the brunt of the damage in those battles, killing Zeri six times in a matter of minutes.

He ended the game with an astounding final score of 14/0/1 overall. This game marked Prince’s fourth game with ten or more kills for the year and matched his career best, which he shared with Liiv SANDBOX in the LCK last year.

FlyQuest had a substantial transformation as a result of the second round robin, making its full intended roster debut. Eyla, the team’s starting support, made her 2023 debut today after missing the first four weeks of the season owing to issues with a visa. However, that didn’t stop Eyla from defeating Soraka by a score of 0/3/16.

Winsome, the team’s replacement for Eyla, helping them win eight games while recording a KDA of 5.5 in the LCS. Later this week, Winsome will resume his normal position on FlyQuest’s NA Challengers roster.

FlyQuest will take against Dignitas tomorrow in an effort to keep up their recent domination in the LCS. Dignitas is the only major area League club that has yet to win a game this season.

This defeat for 100 Thieves is their sixth straight setback. The group must win a couple upcoming games that are absolute must-wins for them to avoid falling outside the postseason bubble. They’ll compete against Team Liquid in the next matchup, who will need only one more victory against the Immortals to become tied for first place in the rankings.
