LoL: Only one player finished a season with double digit KDA

The king of the rift. Following a tense finish to the 2023 LCS Spring Split regular season, a slew of talented League of Legends players are going to the playoffs in their pursuit of a title. However, only one player stuck out among his contemporaries with a KDA in the double digits: Kim #Berserker Min-cheol of Cloud9.

Stats king

According to competitive League data collection Oracle’s Elixir, the 19-year-old prodigy ended with 87 kills, 99 assists, and only 18 fatalities for a whopping 10.3 KDA. He was a big reason C9 was so effective this split, as they ran through the bottom lane numerous times throughout the season.

Berserker was allowed plenty of resources to scale up and become the late-game insurance policy that they would depend on to finish out matches, with the fourth-highest proportion of his team’s total gold. He also played a fair quantity of Zeri, finishing with four victories and two losses. However, behind the Spark of Zaun, he also seized control with choices like Varus, Lucian, Caitlyn, and Draven.

Berserker retains his supremacy through better team fight placement and aggression control, avoiding any enemy engages until the last possible second when he spots an angle to join a skirmish. When he seizes his opportunity, the talented ADC uses his picturesque mechanical skills to evade and dart around the battle, and is usually put on a champion with a lot of movement abilities.

No other competitors in the league came close to matching FlyQuest’s own great marksman Lee #Prince Chae-hwan’s 5.8 KDA. Due to his amazing aggression alongside the organization’s star-studded squad, the 22-year-old did beat Berserker with a whopping 101 fatalities.

What’s next?

Berserker and Prince will both see play in the 2023 LCS Spring Playoffs, which commence on Thursday, March 23. To begin their group, Cloud9 will face Counter Logic Gaming, while FlyQuest will face 100 Thieves.
