Rainbow 6 Siege – Japan Invitational 2022 Invites Teams BDS and DWG KIA

Many people online said that the Japan Invitational 2022 could benefit by having some teams from other markets other than Asian, and luckily for us, the administrations of these tournaments shared the same opinion.

The Japan Invitational 2022 will take place next month, and organizer of the Japan League X-MOMENT today revealed that Team BDS will be there. Along with DWG KIA, the French team will be one of the two non-Japanese teams invited to the competition.

The Trade and Investment Office, Embassy of France in Japan, as well as the French Embassy are both sponsors of the event.

On September 16, information about the format and schedule for the Japan Invitational 2022 was made public.

The Schedule

The top five teams in the Japan League 2022 based on total stage 1, stage 2, and stage 3 points, as well as the highest-placed team from Season 3 that is not in the overall top five, will compete in the closed qualifier first.

With the remaining two teams to be determined in the upcoming weeks, four teams—SCARZ, CYCLOPS athlete gaming, Fnatic, and Crest Gaming—have already been mathematically confirmed for the qualifier.

The qualifying will be conducted online from October 29 to 30.

With the exception of the first round of the lower bracket, which will be BO1, all games in the double-elimination bracket of the LAN Finals will be BO3.

Both Team BDS and DWG KIA will play a Japanese team from the qualifier in the Japan Invitational finals, where they will advance straight. This portion of the competition will take place on LAN at the Belle Salle Takadanobaba from November 5 to 6, one week before the anticipated APAC November Major dates.

Although the prize money has not yet been made public, it may be comparable to the $180,000 Japan League in terms of payout.

Wokka Comes Back For An All-Star Match

Yudai “Wokka” Ichise, a renowned Japanese player, will return to Siege at the tournament as well, though only on Nov. 6 in a display match.

Many people still consider the former Nora-Rengo player to be the best talent to come out of the area. He lit up the Siege globe with electrifying performances at many Pro League Finals, and his career peaked with a semi-final showing at the Six Invitational 2019.

Shortly after, Wokka announced his retirement to concentrate on a more profitable and stress-free streaming career.

X-“The MOMENT’s Second Coming of Wokka” show match will also include a performance by the Japanese rock group TRiDENT.
