Rainbow 6 – Team REJECT Makes Big Roster Changes

Toya #Papilia Miyazawa, a former top player for #NoraRengo, and #TeamNortheption player #CoPaHiPo have joined #REJECT, the company announced today.

As previously announced on November 1, Ryota #Window Hirata was to leave REJECT, and today Kyohei #Take Koyama was transferred to Japan League squad ENTER FORCE.36. In Stage 3 in APAC North, both players had official ratings of 1.08 and nearly identical K-D and Entry scores.

But according to REJECT’s press release from today, Window will still be a part of their setup and the squad will have a six-man roster.

Their Journey So Far

Papilia was a member of the Nora-Rengo squads that fell against Team Empire in the Six Invitational 2019 semifinals and to FaZe Clan in the ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals.

CoPaHiPo joins as an IGL from Team Northeption of the Japan Open, who most recently made it to the Japan League Season 2 Playoff and came in second. He had an official rating of 1.07 and was the third-best player on his team there.

He also had a +15 K-D, mostly on Dokkaebi and Azami. He was the best player on his team in the Season 1 Playoff, when his team was unable to advance to Stage 2, with a 1.22 official rating, +23 K-D, and 79 percent KOST.

Papilia will now play in the top division for the first time since Nora-Rengo lost its league license at the beginning of 2021, while CoPaHiPo will make his top-flight debut in 2023 as a result of these transfers.

After Nora-Rengo failed to win a spot in APAC North and disbanded, Papilia left the organization. She then joined Lag Gaming in February 2021. He was a member of Lag Gaming up until October of this year, however he is leaving them to join an APAC North squad again.

Papilia worked as a pundit for the Japan League 2021 while he was a competitor in the second and third tiers of Japanese competition.

The announcement comes two weeks after Stage 3 of the APAC North league, where REJECT placed third and lost out on the Jönköping Major despite being only one point behind SANDBOX Gaming in second place.

But domestically, the freshly promoted club was disappointed more. After finishing eighth, fifth, and ninth in each of the three seasons this year, it placed seventh overall in the Japan League 2022.

Despite finishing eighth and fourth in their respective seasons, they were still able to advance to the Japan League playoffs thanks to their performances in Seasons 1 and 2. The US$103,000 Japan Invitational 2022, which also includes DWG KIA and Team BDS, was also missed on by REJECT as a result.
