Which are the best teams in VALORANT esports?

1. Acend

Acend (ACE) took the top spot in the latest edition of the VALORANT Power Rankings after winning the prestigious Tournament of Champions with an excellent performance at the end of the year. The team, from the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, took the title by defeating their rivals and tournament favourites, Gambit, in a hard-fought five-game series. While it is not yet known whether they will keep their current line-up (as there are reports that their star player, Mehmet Yagız “cNed” Ipek is keen to make a change), the team deserves the top spot in our power rankings.

2. Gambit

The winner of stage 3 of the Berlin Expert Circuit, Gambit (GMB), retains its position in the VALORANT power rankings after losing to Acend in the final of the Tournament of Champions. While this result was a disappointment for the Russian team, they are still a strong team on the international competitive scene, boasting a great 91-19 record in games.

3. Sentinels

Sentinels (SEN) dropped to third place in the VALORANT Power Rankings after a disappointing campaign in the Tournament of Champions, which ended with a surprise exit in the group stage after losing to KRU Esports. All indications are that the North American team will keep the same roster in 2022 and, depending on their performance throughout 2021, could once again become the best team globally.

4. Team Liquid

Team Liquid’s (TL) position in the VALORANT Power Rankings improved in this year’s edition after a strong performance in the Tournament of Champions, where they finished in third and fourth place after losing to Acend, who went on to win the title. With their current record, Team Liquid will be looking to fight against Acend and Gambit for the top spot in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

5. KRU Esports

Latin American-based team KRU Esports (KRU) managed to impress the VALORANT competitive scene at the Tournament of Champions by reaching the semi-final (miraculously and against all odds) after defeating one of the tournament favourites, Sentinels, and a strong European competitor, Fnatic. KRU’s success in the Tournament of Champions was the crowning glory for the Latin American region’s progress in the esports world, and their fifth place finish is a reflection of this rise.

6. Fnatic

Despite finishing fifth and eighth in the Tournament of Champions, Fnatic (FNC) moved up two places in the VALORANT power rankings after performing much better than in previous events. The European team defeated the likes of Cloud9 and DRX Vision Strikers, as well as taking KRU Esports to a third map in the quarter-finals before being defeated. In early January, the team suffered the departure of Domagoj “Doma” Fancev, who left for TENSTAR, and at the time of writing has yet to announce who will replace him.

7. Cloud9

Cloud9’s (C9) value increased in the Tournament of Champions and this moved him from tenth to seventh in the power rankings. This move is a reflection of the quarter-final finish he achieved in his first international tournament. It is made all the more striking by the fact that Anthony “Vanity” Malaspina (from Version1) had joined the team as the leader in play just four months before the tournament.

8. Team Envy

Prior to the Tournament of Champions, expectations were high for the North American squad of Team Envy (NV) and they were the fifth favourites to take the crown. This was based on a consecutive winning streak in their region and the high expectations generated by analysts after they finished second in Stage 3 of the Berlin Expert Circuit. While in doubt, the team’s campaign in the Tournament of Champions was disappointing, as they lost to a currently inactive X10 CRIT team in a playoff game in the group stage, but the level of their players should still put them in contention for team of the year.

9. DRX Vision Strikers

DRX Vision Strikers (DRX), formerly known simply as Vision Strikers (VS), had the biggest drop in the VALORANT power rankings after a well below average performance in the Tournament of Champions, where they were eliminated in the group stage after losing to Cloud9 and then to Fnatic in a playoff game. The roster remains intact except for sixth player Kim “Lakia” Jong-min, who has been benched and will be inactive. If the team fails to qualify for the next international event, their position in the VALORANT power rankings could be in jeopardy.

10. Team Secret

The Philippine team, Team Secret (TS), completes the VALORANT Power Rankings in 10th place. Like KRU Esports, Team Secret surprised the world with their strong performance in the Tournament of Champions by taking Gambit Esports to a third map in the group stage and beating teams like Team Vikings and Crazy Raccoons, who already had experience in the international scene. As was the case in the Latin American region, teams from Asia-Pacific (the region in which Team Secret competes) have shown small signs of excellence and have the capacity to continue to grow in VALORANT esports.

There is nothing to be great at lmao , I go from gn1 in CS with 234h to platinum in valorant with 20k+ matches . Uninstall , game doesn't require skill because there is absolutely no momentum, v slow movement which lead to easy 1 taps or even sprays because of how random the bullets go and mostly land on the face lucky as also the hitbox is way to big , the (abilities) replace grenades and utilities as they are very repetitive for most of the characters in just different looks. If u will actually say that this game is good then you are just saying that because u found a very easy popular game to be good at or u will call it fun just because u get kills in it.
