Dota 2 – Heat Check Ahead of Lima Dota Major

After a stellar start in the Winter Regional League in China with five victories and no losses, #TeamAster has become the first Dota 2 team to be invited to the #LimaMajor.

The Chinese powerhouses won the series despite losing a game against #Knights and Xtreme Gaming while defeating #Ehome, Dawn Gaming, and Aster-Aries in straight sets.

There are only two games left, one against Invictus and the other against #PSG, who are currently in second position. Meanwhile, #TeamLGD has already taken the necessary steps to ensure a place at the Major.

The Potential Issues

The Lima Major will be the continent of South America’s first premier Dota 2 competition. It begins on February 22 and lasts through March 5, albeit there is some uncertainty as to whether it will take place given that Peru is currently under a state of emergency as a result of ongoing political protests.

The community believes the event will proceed as scheduled because Valve hasn’t yet solved the problem. Aster appears to be the side to beat if that is the case.

While BetBoom, Beastcoast, Blacklist Rivalry, and TSM have all so far dominated their areas, it’s still early. Team Liquid has also had a strong start in Western Europe.

At The International 11, Team Aster also did well, placing fourth, higher than any other Chinese team competing in the event, including PSG.

At The International 11, Team Aster also did well, placing fourth, higher than any other Chinese team competing in the event, including PSG-LGD, who many people had predicted would win the Aegis. Following the addition of mid laner Zhai #Xwy Jingkai to their team in November 2022, they have been able to capitalize on that momentum this season.

At the Lima Major next month, they will undoubtedly be the center of attention. It will be interesting to see how they manage to deal with such a situation, considering this would be the first time they’ve been faced with this kind of expectation and publicity. If they don’t let the buzz get to their head and keep playing as they did recently, Team Aster will have plenty of reasons to be optimistic and hope for the highest spots in all of the tournaments waiting for them this year.
