Red Bull League of Its Own is moving to Spain. The fourth edition of the offseason League of Legends showcase will be played on December 5, 2026, at the Olímpic Arena in Badalona, just outside Barcelona, with T1, G2 Esports, Movistar KOI and Karmine Corp confirmed as the four participating teams.
First Spanish edition after Germany and France
Since its launch, the event has bounced between Germany and France, and the 2025 edition returned to Germany. Spain had never hosted it until now. The choice of Badalona is not random: the same arena staged the LEC Versus finals earlier this year, so the venue already has a proven track record with a large, loud European League crowd.
T1 once again fill the role of the international headliner. The reigning 2025 world champions have been the constant across every edition of the event, and this time they will face three of Europe’s most-followed organizations on European soil. For Movistar KOI, it is effectively a home game – the Spanish organization will play in front of its own fans, roughly an hour’s drive from where the club is based.
Plenty of history between the four teams
The lineup is not short on storylines. G2 Esports have met T1 repeatedly on the international stage over the years, and they arrive in Spain fresh off a 3-0 sweep of Movistar KOI in the LEC Summer 2026 final in Nice. Karmine Corp beat T1 at the Esports World Cup earlier in 2026, one of the more surprising results of the summer, while Movistar KOI ran into T1 during the Swiss Stage at Worlds 2025. Whichever pairing ends up on stage, there is a recent chapter to reference.
That said, League of Its Own is deliberately not a conventional tournament. Past editions have leaned on showmatches with unusual drafts, role swaps between players, themed matchups and 1v1 duels. The point is to let pros step outside their usual lanes and give fans a lighter, more entertaining evening than a best-of-five with everything on the line. Tickets and timing
Tickets for the Badalona event are already on sale, with prices starting at €35. The December 5 date places the show a little over a month after the Worlds 2026 final, meaning all four rosters should still be in their 2026 configurations – or at least close to them, depending on how aggressively teams move during the November transfer window.
What it means for bettors
Exhibition events like this one are a different animal from the regular season. Because the drafts are often deliberately silly and players may be swapping roles, recent form and head-to-head records tell you very little about how a given showmatch will go. Some esports bookmakers did offer novelty markets on previous editions, but coverage has typically been thin and limits low. If you do decide to have a small interest, treat it as entertainment rather than an edge, and only use funds from a welcome bonus or a bankroll you are comfortable playing with.
