Team Spirit are the champions of BLAST Open Porto 2026. The world’s top-ranked Counter-Strike side beat MOUZ 3-1 in Sunday’s grand final, adding a second straight trophy to the one they lifted at the Esports World Cup earlier this summer. The win also settles a score: barely a month ago, MOUZ had beaten Spirit in the BLAST Bounty final.
How the final played out
Spirit opened on Dust2 and immediately targeted the B site, the same weakness they had failed to exploit in the Bounty final. It worked. MOUZ’s Czech anchor PR started well with a pair of triple kills but faded badly as the map went on, and Spirit closed it out 13-8.
Mirage looked like it would follow the same script. sh1ro was dominant early, piling up seven kills across the two pistol rounds, and Spirit built an 11-4 lead. Then MOUZ’s CT side woke up. Led by their young anchors, they reeled off nine rounds in a row to steal the map 13-11 and level the series – a comeback that briefly reopened the question of whether Spirit could close out a final against this opponent.
The answer arrived on Ancient. Spirit went into the map with 14 consecutive wins on it and made it 15 in emphatic fashion, crushing MOUZ 13-3 with donk finally taking centre stage at a 2.39 rating. Nuke was more of the same: a 13-6 win sealed the 3-1 and the title.
sh1ro, not donk, was the standout
Much of the pre-tournament noise centred on donk, and he did deliver the highlight-reel moments on Ancient. Across the whole series, however, it was sh1ro who topped Spirit’s stat sheet with a 1.36 rating, 70 kills to 42 deaths and a positive impact on every map. donk finished at 1.28 with the highest ADR in the server (95.0), while tN1R (1.27) and zont1x (1.24) also posted strong numbers. Only magixx had a rough evening at 0.83.
On the other side, nobody on MOUZ finished above a 1.0 rating. PR led the team at 0.93, while xelex – widely tipped as an MVP candidate before the final – ended at 0.83. For torzsi and xertioN it extends a long list of top-tier runner-up finishes since they joined the organisation.
What it means for the rest of 2026
Two big trophies in a row is exactly the kind of run that turns a strong team into a dominant one. With Vitality no longer the force they were and Falcons yet to rediscover their Major-winning form, Spirit look like the clear team to beat heading into the autumn. That will be reflected in the Counter-Strike odds at the major bookmakers, where Spirit are likely to be short favourites in every event they enter for the foreseeable future.
For bettors, the more interesting angle may be MOUZ. They have now lost to Spirit in a final after beating them in one, and they keep reaching the last stage of big events without converting.
