Fortnite x Obsession Lands in the Item Shop: Skins, Prices and Fortnitemares Context

Fortnite’s Halloween season is in full swing, and the latest guest to join the island is a horror newcomer. The Obsession collaboration landed in the item shop on October 21, 2026, at the usual daily reset of 7 p.m. ET, and it is part of the wider Fortnitemares 2026 event.

What is in the Obsession set

The centrepiece is the Nikki Freeman outfit, based on the lead character of Obsession, a 2025 indie horror film from Blumhouse Productions starring Inde Navarrette. Alongside the skin there are three cosmetics: the One Wish Willow back bling, Nikki’s Broken Bottle pickaxe, and a “No No No…” emote. Early reports suggest the emote may get a special animation when worn with the outfit, and that the skin leans into the film’s gory look, including blood splatter on the face.

Pricing and how to get it

The full bundle is listed at 2,700 V-Bucks, though it is currently discounted to 2,000. Buying the outfit on its own costs 1,500 V-Bucks. There is also a chance that the skin can be earned through a Fortnite Cup instead of being purchased, which keeps the competitive side of the game in the picture. Importantly, the outfit is not part of the battle pass, so players who only buy the pass will not get it automatically.

A crowded horror lineup

Obsession is only one of several horror tie-ins in this year’s Fortnitemares. Five Nights at Freddy’s and Hazbin Hotel are also on the list, which shows how heavily Epic leans on licensed content to keep the shop fresh each October. For players, that means a lot of limited-time cosmetics competing for the same pool of V-Bucks.

Why it matters beyond the shop

Cosmetic drops are not just a fashion story. They drive daily engagement, and engagement feeds the audience that watches and follows the Fortnite esports scene. Cup-based unlocks like the one hinted at here also give casual players a reason to try ranked and tournament play. If you are tempted by the discounted bundle, treat it like any promotion: check the exact terms and the end date before you spend, in the same way you would read the small print in our guide to welcome bonuses.

Whether you pick up the full bundle or just the skin, the Obsession set is a good fit for the season. Keep an eye on the shop rotation, because limited-time collabs rarely stay available for long.
