WESG 2018 Dota 2 Grand Finals Betting Tip

Roughly less than two days after the end of the PGL Bucharest Major, another big Dota 2 event is set to kick off, this time in Haikou City, China. Though not a part of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit, the WESG 2018 Grand Finals is a big event nonetheless. The Olympic-style tournament has attracted thirty-two Dota 2 teams from all nations across the globe, each of which fighting for the right to prove their country is the best and to go home with a huge chunk of the whopping $1.5 million USD prize pool.

With as many as thirty-two teams playing in the tournament, it's hard to keep track with who's who. Fortunately, AntiHype or Team Russia have made predicting the tournament winners so much easier. Made up of four out of five members of the Virtus.Pro roster that took home back-to-back Major titles at ESL One Katowice and the Bucharest Major, they are easily the most stacked roster on the tournament.
Especially now that Team Ukraine (with Vladimir "No[o]ne" Minenko and Ivan "Artstyle" Antonov on the roster) have backed out due to visa issues.

Against a relatively shallow competitive pool, AntiHype should have the title in the bag. But, even so, there are a couple of teams that are worthy of keeping an eye on. Both EHOME and Keen Gaming are likely itching to showcase how good they in a LAN setting after recently swapping midlaners. Given that the former still boasts two recent TI winners in their ranks, with one being the captain of arguably the most entertaining Dota 2 team of all time, they're a legitimate threat, not just in this tournament, but going forward. Meanwhile, the former mousesports squad, who are currently playing under the Team Hellas banner, are no slouch either. The same goes for Team Sweden, who are headlined by The International 3 winners Jonathan "Loda" Berg and Joakim "Akke" Akterhall.

Unfortunately, not a single site currently has offered "to win outright" picks as of the moment. However, if they do become available just before the event starts, don’t forget to pencil in the heavy favourites Team Russia or AntiHype, with EHOME and Keen Gaming, coming in at a distant second place.
