Rocket League – SK Gaming Set To Acquire Nass, Scrub Killa and Rxii For RLCS 2022-23

Reputable esports organization SK Gaming is attempting to recover after a disappointing RLCS ’21–’22 performance. For the 2022–2023 season, they have their eyes on three players – Kyle “Scrub Killa” Robertson, Nass, and Raimon “Rxii” Falgueras.

The 2021/22 Season Recap

The trio made of “eekso”, “Tox”, and “Yukeo”, who joined SK Gaming late in RLCS X and placed 5–6th in Europe’s Spring Split, including a 3–4th place finish in the European Spring Major, made up a promising squad at the start of the year. Prior to the 21–22 season, SK Gaming generated some genuine buzz; however, that buzz rapidly subsided as the team reached its regional peak of the Top 8 and disbanded at the end of the Fall Split.

After releasing their roster two weeks prior, SK came back with the new trio of “Ekon”, “Keiran”, and “Fruity”. Only 80 points were scored by that squad in two splits, and they only participated in one regional.

With yet another fresh lineup and one of the greatest players in game history leading the charge, SK is making its third effort to win the RLCS. Since he was in elementary school, “Scrub Killa”, widely regarded as Rocket League’s first prodigy, has left his mark on the game.

“Scrub”, a previous World Champion and Finalist, had a good run with Dignitas during the Fall and Winter splits before reverse sweeps by Spacestation and Evil Geniuses in Los Angeles threw the team into a downward spiral from which they never fully emerged.

Alongside Scrub is “Rxii”, who spent the previous year playing with “kuxir97”, another legendary player, as part of Kuxir’s Minions. Toward the end of the year, “Rxii” consistently made regionals.

“Nass”, a relatively unknown 15-year-old who is rumored to be terrifying in ranked 2s, which is, of course, the #1 predictor of talent in the esport, completes the team.

The Conclusion

This latest addition to SK Gaming’s roster makes them contenders once again in a crowded European competition. The depth they needed might finally be there, so it will be interesting to see if they click together and create the chemistry that will last them throughout the whole season, and possibly lead them all the way to the title.

If you are a SK Gaming fan, these news are truly a reason to celebrate, but even if you’re not, you should be happy as this means that the matches in front of us will be filled with nothing but pure action.
